Steinhoff im Vergleich mit praxisorientierten Standardwerken - eine exemplarische Analyse der Ratgeberliteratur vor dem Hintergrund der Ontogenese wissenschaftlicher Schreibkompetenz
The following article is questioning in how far self help literature on academic writing is focusing on taking in scientific research results for developing writing exercises in the German speaking context of academic writing. It is concerned with Steinhoff’s and Pohl’s stages of learning scientific writing and the acquirement process of ordinary scientific language in German. By analyzing one self help book in detail, it is shown that even though many professional steps to acquiring scientific writing methods and knowledge on scientific writing, there still could be done more in order to improve methods and to minimize the gap between scientific results on academic writing and practical advice on academic writing.
